Collection: Deniz Altug

Deniz is a self-taught and Toronto based abstract artist who started to pursue her lifelong passion for art after 19 years of corporate life. Her paintings can be found in private collections in Canada, USA, UK, Europe and Brazil. Prior to her art journey, Deniz's education and professional life ranged from a degree in computer science, to completing and MBA, and having a career on the management side of Information Technology.

Deniz's paintings are primarily acrylic on canvas and consist of vivid colors, intuitively applied in layer with a sense of movement and transparency, a balance of energy and calm, a contrast between bold and spacious, resulting in abstract artwork that many describe as uplifting and inspirational, and yet also peaceful.
